Pros

Some cool co-workers, nice building (which they will move from because they can't afford it anymore because the amateur leaders blew their series A)

Cons

Awful management. None of the reps like their managers, none of the reps hit their quota. False hopes, no structure, no one hits quota, people get fired every week. The CEO is 28 years old and doesn't know how to run a company, The COO is even worse - haven't heard anyone in the company say one nice thing about him. The co-founder stepped down for unknown reasons.... but its apparent she wasn't happy with the direction the company is going. Talkdesk really is the worst place to work in the valley. Do yourself a favor, during your interview ask how many sales reps have hit their quota consistently, how long they have been there, and how many have been fired in the past year.

Pros

- Great young, smart employees looking to make change and win. - Typical SF software perks

Cons

- Culture - the leadership has no connection to the employees and don't make any attempt to foster a good environment. Employee generally seem timid towards leadership. - Poor Management - Product doesn't change the world, so the target market isn't impressive - Zero fun - 'Cadillac' product for a market w/o decision making power

Pros

Pros? You will work with great peers, after that the only pro is that you will eventually leave hell on earth for a company that actually cares about you.

Cons

Cons? Well, that is the start of irony when describing Talkdesk. The entire company is a con. By con, I mean releasing products that don't work, yet telling customers or prospective customers that they do. By con, I mean telling employees that they'll make a certain OTE based on commissions, then not providing those same employees any mechanism to track said commissions. By con, I mean they'll dangle every imaginable and fictional carrot of success in front of you that they can with little or no intention of it ever materializing. By con, I mean telling people that you have a world-class product team run by someone incapable of taking responsibility for product failures while throwing team members under the bus. By cons, I mean a CEO who is an abject liar to his employees and customers. A COO who isn't any better. A CRO who couldn't lead his way out of a one-way street. This is a company that punishes you for doing what is ethical and proper. Give a two-week notice to them and watch them not pay you for it. Leave and rather than them provide you with boxes to return the equipment, they expect you to return it by visiting a FedEx facility and shipping it out to them; sure they pay for the shipping, but not your time. They expect you to do this on your own time at their discretion and your dime. If ever there was a company that treats its employees like chattel, this is it.
