Pros

- working with dynamic people, helping customers receive the best quality cakes possible, they are diligent about making sure you've received all your breaks

Cons

- inflexibility of working outside the planogram for cake designs, on feet all day while pregnant (but I knew this going in), too much waste...no program for recycling icing buckets and too little coordination with food pantry for outdated merchandise

Pros

Usually a fun place to work, management works with your personal life and other obligations, and you are given the opportunity to cross-train in other areas of the store to pick up a couple more hours a paycheck.

Cons

Target tends to terminate employees for simple violations at times, most of time violations not intentional. They often do this to stay within their store budget and district objectives. This is a good explanation as to why Target persuades or indoctrinates their employees to not join a union. I recommend you join a union or not work for Target to avoid future conflict. Target also is tight on their hours as well and it is not uncommon to be scheduled only 4 hours a day at some locations, again so management can meet their budget objectives and receive their bonus.

Pros

Culture encourages personal connections with co-workers. I made a lot of great friends, and had a chance to participate in some very cool brand building activities. Overall, Target is a fun place to work.

Cons

Limited professional growth opportunities. Target leadership is so young; they step into positions that are too big for them, then spend all of their time (focusing on self development) trying to live up to the responsibility, which seldom leaves room for team development
