Pros

- The interview process is pretty thorough and I have found most of my fellow managers are enjoyable people. - Competitive salary. - Brand identity

Cons

- Extremely micromanaged environment. - Zero compensation for all the extra work you are required to do -- volunteering, meetings on off days, projects, etc. - Negative/ fear your not performing or anything you ever do is good type environment.

Pros

Managers were fair and for the most part, professional. Pay is very poor, but Target offers better benefits than most other retail establishments. Walkie-talkies are given to employees and floor managers so they can communicate with each other without running all over the store to find them. In all fairness, any other complaint I have about working there could probably apply to any other retail store (long hours, low pay, exhausted when shift is over, rude customers, etc.)

Cons

Target closes at 10pm every night. Very late for a retailer. And nobody leaves until the store is immaculate, which was generally between 11:45 and midnight. If the store is extra messy (like during the holidays) be prepared to stay until 12:30 or even 1 am. You have to wear red and khaki EVERY DAY. Unless you have a closet full of red shirts and khaki pants, be prepared to do extra loads of laundry! Oh, and about those walkie-talkies, most of them were broken half of the time, and there were never enough of them for all of the employees on the floor to have one.
