Terrible Culture

Pros

Not much to be honest

Cons

Unnecessary and unproductive amount of meetings, borderline unethical and poor business tactics by upper management and zero concern for employees mental health, work load and insight. The lack of logical processes, vendor management and non existent training in this division is mind blowing and would not recommend any opportunity to anyone.

As America's Most Trusted Homebuilder, we pride ourselves on doing what's right for our customers, internal and external. Taylor Morrison's culture sets the standard within the industry and it's certainly what sets us apart from our peers. We appreciate you taking the time to share some thoughts and advice, as there is always room for improvement. The behavior you've described does not reflect our values, as we prioritize work-life balance. Years ago, we introduced Wellness Days into the organization and encourage our team members to use them when needed, no questions asked.

Toxic positivity! What you see is not what you get.

Pros

Some talented and hardworking colleagues who genuinely try to do their best. As the job market improves, most of them will leave.

Cons

The company markets itself as inclusive and employee-focused, but the culture is a façade. Behind the branding is a toxic environment where speaking up leads to backlash, not change. Leadership is weak, inconsistent, and largely self-serving. There is no real vision, only lip service and buzzwords. They show off all of their top workplace awards, but fail to disclose the unethical ways in which they receive these awards. Promotions and recognition are based on favoritism, not merit. Certain people are protected while others are ignored or , no matter their contributions. This is obviously embedded in how decisions are made and who is given opportunities.

Pros

The team has been together for quite some time, and it's filled with truly genuine individuals. (I'm referring to the coworkers, not the management.)

Cons

If you’re considering a career with Taylor Morrison’s Orlando Division, I strongly advise you to think twice. The commission structure is far from straightforward; they deduct discounts from the base price before calculating your commission, which means you’re not getting the full picture. Plus, bonuses? Forget about it—they simply don’t pay them. It gets even more frustrating with management. There’s a clear favoritism at play, with rules seemingly applied selectively. Disrespectful communication and dishonesty from managers are all too common, leaving employees feeling undervalued and disheartened. The fallout from poor management decisions is evident; they let one of their top managers go, and since then, things have just gone downhill. If you’re looking for a place to build a meaningful and rewarding career, I would strongly recommend steering clear of this division. Save yourself the hassle!
