Pros

I interviewed with the President for my second face to face interview, and he said, right in the job interview, "We want to help people know their gifts, develop their talents, and live their life to its fullest potential." This is a faith-based company with a lot of ethics and integrity. They (now we) believe in treating employees like family.

Cons

Office building is 100 years old, but kept up well.

Pros

The long term employees are genuine, hard working people who believe in a company that has provided stable employment and a life long career.

Cons

If Elon Musk built a space port on Mars and was sending home messages to earth, the technology and engineering marvel that would be the first extraterrestrial interstellar transmission system would not be sufficient to reach the minds of those who determine the fate of the company. The executive team seems to only be driven by their own vision of how things should operate and will not heed other's advice about changing their out dated and out of business norms ideals. Creative, innovative and needed ideas are only channeled through 3 or 4 decision makers who are cemented in their traditions. Those 3 or 4 people seem to believe that the only way to progress is through their way of doing things. Its frustrating. I wish them the best of luck.

Great Company

Pros

The size of the company (it's big enough to not feel like a mom and pop but small enough that you don't feel lost in the crowd). This really gives you the freedom to make decisions that management will let you run with. Executive Leadership really takes their employees ideas and thoughts into consideration. There isn't a lot of "red tape" involved with implementing new ideas or strategies. I also feel like I am actually valued here which isn't something I ever really experienced anywhere else. I think I can say that the leadership here genuinely cares about their employees. I think the same could be said for colleagues as well - it really does feel like a big family. Everyone here is really nice and super helpful. The company also just rolled out a flexible workplace policy at the beginning of the year allowing certain positions to work from home or work flex time, so the work/life balance is pretty good too. They also invest a lot in employees in terms of tuition reimbursement, paying for industry certifications, conferences, etc.

Cons

I agree with a previous review stating that some of the newly promoted management could use more training. There is a lot of room for growth in the company, so sometimes people are promoted who have little or no previous management experience, so they are lacking certain skills. I think it would be really beneficial to have them go through some type of training before they officially begin their new position.
