Pros

Working a Monday - Friday schedule

Cons

1. They have too many managers and no communication skills. 2. They do not offer PAY RAISES when PROMOTED to any other positions. 3. They don't have a HR that knows what "CONFIDENTIALITY" means that takes any complaints from the Employees that go to complain. 4. They don't keep promises on any programs for the US employees. I see India always honoring their employees and nothing good for the US employees. 5. They don't know the US laws compared to the Indian Laws. 6. None of their email or "MYSPACE" ever works for the US employees. 7. If you send any type of request to the HR, it doesn't get done on a timely matter. 8. They are very unprofessional and allowing the Managers to treat their employees like crap. 9. The managers in India don't come down enough to spend time with the US employees like they say they will. 10. There are so many more and so little time to put this all on here. They have no idea the talent they have but yet treat the talent they have very cheap.

My experience with Tech Mahindra was one of the most frustrating and unprofessional of my career. The entire onboarding process was chaotic. I had to provide the same documents (SSN, driver’s license, employment history, salary info) to multiple different people over and over. Their HR system had glitches they knew about but never fixed, and instead of helping they questioned me as if the mistakes were mine. At one point, an employee from India asked me over FaceTime from her home to hold up my Social Security card and ID so she could screenshot them, completely unsafe and unprofessional. Background verification dragged on for weeks, demanding unnecessary personal information like W-4s, offer letters, and salary history from previous employers, yet they still kept asking for more. IT support was just as bad, I couldn’t access any of their platforms, opened a ticket, and they canceled it instead of fixing the issue. The worst part is they sent me to the client site before onboarding was even complete, which meant I worked without pay because my W-4 and bank account weren’t set up. Between poor benefits, lack of structure, and no respect for U.S. regulations or employee privacy, I had no choice but to walk away. Cons: - Disorganized and repetitive onboarding - Known HR system glitches never fixed - No data security (unsafe handling of SSN and ID over FaceTime) - Invasive and unprofessional background checks (demanding W-4s, tax info, salary history, etc.) - IT failures: no access to required platforms, tickets canceled instead of resolved - Terrible benefits (401k with no match, minimal PTO, unpaid client shutdowns) - Sent to client site before onboarding was complete → worked without pay - No structure, no accountability, no respect for employees

1) Good work-life balance - At least on my project, the workload has been manageable with reasonable expectations. 2) Solid benefits package – Includes healthcare and other perks, though vacation time is relatively short. 3) Paid bench time – Bench periods are fully compensated, allowing time to upskill or rest without financial pressure.

Cons

1) Lack of informed management - It’s often difficult to find someone knowledgeable, especially when unusual situations arise. 2) Unclear professional growth strategy - Likely a result of the management gap, there's little guidance on career progression. 3) Outdated internal portals - Many tools feel archaic, resembling software from the early 2000s and hindering productivity. 4) Totally disorganized assessment process.
