Pros

If you want sales training, this is the place to be. You will learn the ins and outs to get you ready for a real career.

Cons

It is possible to thrive at TechniPower. For that to be the case, you must be motivated strictly by money. Do not expect to have an opinion, get any respect, or any relief from being told to do more, because even the more will not be enough. They will attempt to drive you by fear, instead of earning the respect of their staff. The base is not enough to even live on.. You can make good money, but that usually comes after at least a year of scraping your way on to the higher commission structure. Half of upper management does nothing while the other half is so swamped doing the jobs of others and their own. It does not seem to matter how many people express their concern about the same problems, the owner knows best. TechniPower is a good decade behind in technology, practices, and resources.. Comical as we place technical people on a daily basis. And if you are a great employee, you will become so over worked from more duties being piled on you as others are left to slack off. You will quickly learn that the stress of this environment is not even close to worth the paycheck you get each week. Do not jump aboard a sinking ship.

Pros

Used to be fun and productive. Don't know about anymore. You can make decent money here.

Cons

Management cares more about what people post on Glassdoor and what ex-employees say about them on social media than they do about the few decent employees they have left. CEO is still a jerk.

We're still fun, we're still productive and we're still earning a great living. We care about our employees and we care about our clients and contractors. In fact, caring about our teams, contractors and clients is one of the factors that seperates us from the staffing warehouse firms that view recruiting in terms of volume and margins, not people. Our number one goal is to improve lives, one job at a time. -Sincerely, The Grown Ups of TechniPower

Pros

Training was one of the most beneficial things about working here. The training manager did everything in her power to make sure you understood the material, and how to TRY to be successful at your job. A majority of the people are great to work with and will do their best to help you succeed.

Cons

There's no quota, but there is? They preach that there is no sales quota, but when I first started, it was 50 calls and 5 new accounts a week (doable), but aside from one or two people in the entire company, NOBODY was hitting these numbers. Many members of upper management weren't even getting a 1/5 of those numbers, but they're management and they're bringing in the money, so nothing would happen to them. These "non-quota quotas" also increased towards the end of my time there to 60 and 7, but again, there are no quotas here. Another big problem this company faced is that they started to bring on way too many people at once. Tried to over-expand, and there wasn't enough money to support these expansions. The internal recruiters would say "We're an expanding company and have been seeing growth," but when I got let go from this company, the entire internal recruiting team was also let go aside from one person. There's a lot of internal problems with this company, but things somehow seem to work.
