Pros

Health benefits are good compared to other medium to large companies, time off is generous if you are ever allowed to use it

Cons

Upward mobility is VERY difficult, management fosters a constant state/environment of "emergency", nothing ever seems to be handled pro-actively, pay scale is lower than other technical industries. Loyal customers who have been loyal to the Tektronix brand name are leaving after the service levels dropped when the calibration division was purchased. Operations cannot get their act together to become a customer focused organization, the customer is suffering and as a result so is the business.

Great teamwork. People are always willing to help each other. Get to work on cutting edge technology.

Cons

Continuing layoffs have caused a brain drain. Morale is very low because you never know who will be next. Management can't figure out what to do next. Too much concentration on cost cutting.
