      Senior Management is blindly obediant

      Pros

      Experienced, qualified employees, very nice campus, great technical staff

      Cons

      Employees who deliver results are not promoted. The culture promotes employees who blindly follow the president. No questioning of authority. Management spends a lot of time preparing a story vs counter-measuring performance. The stories prepared rarely get to root cause.

      Pros

      Tektronix is a solid company with a very strong brand recognition in the test and measurement industry. Our customers trust that a Tektronix product will perform as specified and we stand behind it.

      Cons

      All companies have their share of issues, however none at Tektronix stand out worse than any other public company. My biggest negative would be the relentless pursuit to squeeze expenses to satisfy shareholders....that's status quo for any public company these days!

      Pros

      Great people who would love to do a good job if the leadership could figure out a direction.

      Cons

      They should have removed Amir as president several years ago. He runs a terrible ship, if you are not political and if you say no to Amir you are cast aside like yesterdays news. He's got an Ego too big for his job and needs to be calibrated down to something he can handle. He has upper management wrapped around his fingers, must have else they would have dumped him years ago. No strategic direction. Moral is low. Continuous cuts do to dwindling sales. Only the old survive if they have connections.
