Some good, some improvement needed

Pros

Good compensation, flexible (some work from home options), community involvement, nice campus.

Cons

Tek was bought by a parent company, Danaher, four years ago. Since then, the culture has taken a hit and many long time Tek employees have opted for the early retirement . The company is focused on numbers and metrics, with the value on experienced competent employee's taking a hit. Workforce very slim with employees that are remaining not able to obtain a good work/life balance.

Pros

Tektronix Communication is market leader in network monitoring space; Netscout acquired Tektronix, it will have 43% (tek 31% netscout 12%) market share at minimum. there is no significant competition in the future unless there is outsider to get in such space; network monitoring space is shrinking because telecom operators cut spending.

Cons

No career path or education program to develop employees;Extremely short term bottom line focus due to Danaher culture;Hold big data but nobody has idea how to process it to benefit to customer;lack of accountability;

Pros

benefits are decent. pay can be good.

Cons

Poor employee morale due to overworked employees, which is the norm for Danaher-owned companies. Mandatory surprise pay reductions in 2013 for all employees due to financial shortcomings - implemented by Amir Aghdaei. Upper management is overly demanding and non-responsive to lower management needs. Suspect Danaher will sell this business soon.
