Pros

Teleflex is always making new, innovative medical devices that save lives in a safety conscious environment. Paid holidays are very much appreciated.

Cons

This company has no interest in keeping jobs in the USA! I have not had a raise since Teleflex bought the company from Arrow Int.in 2007! Our jobs are being transferred to Mexico and the Czech Republic within the next 2 years. Other US plants are also closing or have already been closed. They are making record profits and apparently it's not enough! This company is all about corporate greed! The CEO takes a ridiculous salary but they still want more! The "Core Values" of this company only exist on paper. People mean nothing!

Teleflex is the Walmart of Medical Devices

Pros

Wide variety of commodity-type devices

Cons

401k is a 3% employer match - very low for the industry. You must work there 4 years before you are eligible for the employer match - this is definitely walmart style. R&D investment continues to trend down and is one of the lowest in the industry - less than 3% of net sales.

Similar to most medical device manufacturers, Teleflex produces some commodity products because our healthcare customers rely on them for their patients. But our growing success is linked to the manufacture of high-value innovative products that offer outstanding clinical benefits. Arrow, LMA, Rusch, and HudsonRCI brands are not commodity products; they are premium brands known and preferred by clinicians the world over. The vesting period for the 401k match is 2 years and Teleflex benefits have been evaluated by outside consultants as being high value. I have to disagree with your view of our growth potential. If you track our growth in the past year as investors have done, most people would have a positive outlook.

Pros

Really do have good products. These products can make a difference in a patient's life. New building is huge improvement.

Cons

Dealing with commodity products with some of the most formulaic and uncreative marketing ever. There's a policy, procedure, and regulation for everything, unless you're Sr. Management, they can get away with everything.
