Pros

Very autonomous work environment with opportunities to get involved in many different aspects of the university. Excellent benefits package with generous time off for non-union employees.

Cons

Union positions limit employees significantly. Compensation remains pretty flat once on board. Compensation in general is low. Leadership at the Business School is dysfunctional and leads to extremely high turnover. Strategy is set with little to no thought and by handshakes made with leadership's cronies. It's very fly by the seat of your pants-- front-line administrators then have to clean up the mess of a poorly thought out plan.

Pros

Nice People, great perks, great pay, wonderful experiences to be had and great opportunities to uncover.

Cons

High strung environment, long walking distances between buildings, security too laxed. But these can be easily over-looked once you get settled in. It really is a great place to work.

Pros

College Spirit and atmosphere can be addictive. Events for students include staff, such as Spring Fling carnivals, etc. These events are a welcome break to the daily work load. Some offices have a family/friends type of atmosphere in and outside of work. Plenty of eating and transportation options.

Cons

Politics and Bureaucracy. Shear size can sometimes make projects difficult to get consensus and done. The 'temple runaround' when you need to get something done, it usually results in several office visits/phone calls. But this has gotten much better the past few years.
