Pros
Tempus is a phenomenal work environment. I've been really surprised by the number of negative reviews because i love working here. Yes, the company moves incredibly fast and has super high expectations, but these pressures come from our patients and the market - not from an unenlightened leadership team. In fact, I have found this leadership team to be a group of surprisingly humble and generous individuals who are seem just as comfortable making consequential leadership decisions as they are sitting with a bunch of interns to triage incoming data. I feel like I have found real champions and mentors in multiple members of this leadership team. They have let me take on a cool new projects, and move across teams, and have helped me shake off mistakes (when they probably could have been yelling at me) and move on and get better. Sure, I work a lot (not as much much as my friends in banking, but you know, a lot) but I have incredible flexibility here to do things like routine doctors appointments that other company's just don't allow in the middle of the day. Obviously some days are better than others and sometimes the work is more interesting than other times, but all in all I don't think you could ask for a more supportive, interesting, and fun environment. Plus, we have a free barista bar, and goldfish.
Cons
Sometimes you do data triage and it sucks. Sometimes you do data triage with members of leadership next to you which makes it suck less because you know what you're doing is important.
