Pros

Company vehicle, fuel card, and clean uniforms provided. Very cool people to work with, but you have to prove yourself in order to gain some respect within the office.

Cons

One of the biggest challenges is getting training and getting decent inbound leads. I'm almost sure most of the inbound leads go to the tenured reps within our branch. Also the appointment schedules don't make any sense, you end up driving all over the place zig zagging all across different counties. The hours during peak season are very long between 50-70 hours a week. When I was hired I was informed I would be working every other weekend. You literally have to remind your manager of this sticking point because nobody wants to work every weekend especially just to do inspections that don't lead to any sales. I also feel they need to revamp the whole call center lead generation system. Most of the leads are called creatives meaning they are current customers who may or may not want more of our services but already have 1 or 2 of our services which makes it very difficult to sell if you are brand new. The money is in the inbounds which they don't tell you when you get hired, these leads go to most of the seasoned vets so be forewarned. The payplan isn't the greatest, you don't make any commission until you hit $20,001 which really sucks if you work a long day and don't make any money.

Pros

Coworkers are wonderful and you get to interact with customer in multiple fields.

Cons

Management. By far the most disorganized group of people I have ever come in contact with and they do not seem to want to fix it. Micromanagement is taken to an art form and those at headquarters are clueless to what needs to happen to be successful at a branch level. Local managers can't do their jobs properly because they are not empowered to do so. I have hit my quota every month and maybe Rookie of the year, yet my paychecks are still dismal. Salary. It's under 50K as a base and the technicians make less per hour than fast food workers. Commissions - Even if you blow your number out of the water, it takes 2 to 3 months to get paid and the % is so low it is demotivating. Uniforms - The technicians uniforms are embarrassing. Equipment - The techs don't have the right chemicals to do there job properly. Systems - They are from the 80's. I think some stuff is per me being born!

No work/life balance

Pros

Had some in the beginning, but can't say now

Cons

No work/life balance. Work load too heavy. Management never satisfied. Always want more, more, more from employees. The only downtime you'll have is while you are sleeping.
