Pros

PROS: I worked with other ppl in offices throughout the company… I am not including some in CORPORATE) and some are genuine individuals, and recognize professional, hard working individuals, like us, and they made the better part of the day which I always appreciated! Also, they give year end bonuses and the pay was reasonable until my last year

Cons

Cannot confide in some department management because they may retaliate. Micromanage. Isolation. SIDE NOTE: Fill in the “….” with your imagination…. Where do I start?! I want to state this is NOT a reflection of Terracon as a whole because there are some genuine, hard working, and great individuals who do care and I have enjoyed working with in other offices around the US that made the better part of my day and one of the reason I liked (past tense) my job but unfortunately some ppl (some in corporate) just need to no longer work for the company in my opinion. I hope there is a reconstruction of certain departments or offices soon because “bad apples” can hurt a company but they’re hard to detect if they are hiding in the bushel. I worked there for many years and when I started it was nice and some, particularly management in a certain department, and in another office, within the corporate sector “seemed” to care BUT, I learned the hard way, and found some CANNOT be trusted if you confide your concerns, they will turn on you, QUICK! Some [Especially in Corporate, I repeat, in CORPORATE] are shady …. I kid you not! They are a large giant and they have good business relationships with their clients and are growing BUT, I hope they wise up and see some ppl for what or who they really are because some don’t really care and have only their interests at heart and not the company’s, unfortunately. In my opinion, they need to reconstruct Corporate and only keep those that deserve a position, but some need to retire or resign, and some been clawing at ppl backs for way too long (they’re the undercover apples in the bushel) and need to be replaced. This certain department will hire you and boot [WITHOUT WARNING] ….oh yeah, they know how to cover ….. what I mean some know how to play the system, meaning, cover themselves legally but still be unethical…… and unprofessional toward valued employees which is truly unfair. And the partiality for seniority…oh my goodness, hard work goes unrecognized…well, unless you’re apart of “their” team, which is NOT a team. After being drained mentally and honestly dealing with some in this department, it even took a physical toll, I was taken advantage of, unrecognized, isolated, and not rightly compensated for hard work before they threw the boot….I can but I can’t (legally) say more….Work/Home Balance, oh my goodness, some do not give…..two cents unless you have seniority!
