      National network of intelligent colleagues Company stock basically always outperforms the market Variety of fieldwork - soil logging, rock core logging, geophysics, some field engineering Decent safety culture - CEO seems genuine

      Raises are often insignificant compared to inflation Significant pay disparity between field geologists and engineers- sometimes up to 10k/year Field geologists and engineers all do the same tasks They usually hire new people at a higher pay and never increase the staff that’s already there
