Get to work with great people at the local level.

Cons

Each office tends to have a focus on either construction engineering or environmental science with a certain level of facilities management. This is great if your local office is balanced toward your field, not so great if it isn't. I worked on the environmental side of an engineering-heavy office. Business development left a lot to be desired and the end came from out of the blue. Here today, gone tomorrow. They took the work I was doing and gave it to lower paid newbs, who are expected to put in endless hours to stay on top of caseload.

Yearly reviews and raises Competitive Benefits Provides and encourages regular training Staff performs yearly surveys about management and company performance Awards given for recruitment Can nominate employees for special yearly awards Provided the necessary and needed equipment to work safely, (field and in office) Keeps it's fleet up to date It's systems are all integrated and user friendly Nationwide - opportunities to transfer and grow Literally the company you dream about working for

Cons

-Billable staff, (the staff that actually performs the work we get paid for), are undervalued, treated poorly and bonused a fraction of what the office staff gets. -No way to meet chargeability goals - take a day off or have an appointment, your not going to meet your chargeability goal for the year. -Petty and Orwellian work environment, caused by a handful of staff. -Staff speak of being stressed, overworked, tired. Most stated they were living in fear of being fired, or laid off. -Many staff members have medical issues related to work environment. During my employment, during work hours, three different people had to be taken for emergency medical treatment due to serious stress related issues. -High turn over of seasoned/dedicated staff. -Comments on yearly surveys do not appear to be taken seriously. -They claim equality for all, but really, only the small ruling faction matters.

Pros

Safety is a must, so don't worry about being forced to work in unsafe conditions. Also, there are some bonus rewards but they are not handed out often.

Cons

The pay is lower that the industry standard. They also say they give raises for getting certifications but I'd get what they say in writing because they are known not to follow through.
