      Pros

      Great Compensation, but the wrong job for me. The type of work was not what was "sold" to me. It was loads of work that was simple and boring for someone with my skill set.

      Cons

      Incredibly boring work, bad manager, mediocre to poor office aesthetics. In my experience, Terracon has a ways to go with its field office management. The corporate managements seems pretty good, but in the small office where I worked, the office manager was petty and didn't know very much. The Peter Principal was definitely at work....

      Pros

      The people I got to work with were great and opportunity to continually learn new things was great. Schedules could be flexible depending on the projects going on at the time. Alot of the work was not with other Terracon employees but rather dealing with contractors. Got to work outside and at different places all the time.

      Cons

      At the time I was working there the travel became more than I wanted. Not too much over night travel but I would be on the road up to 8 hours just getting to and from the job sites. It was also during the rescission and the quality of work in construction was lower and some how everyone liked to blame the inspector for the contractor not building per plans and specs.

      Pros

      Employee owned, good benefits, good pay, great location, goal oriented, teams get together to update status on projects and are open to suggesting new ways to be more efficient.

      Cons

      Lack of training with new employees, bad team atmosphere (a lot of talking behind people's backs and complaining about coworkers), impatient, poor communication between team members leads to redoing a lot of work which bothers management, office environment is stressful, and management doesn't discuss when there are issues with quality of work.
