      Does provide opportunity to work your way up the corporate ladder depending on role and personality type.

      Cons

      Typical American corporation. Pay is below industry standard and benefits are absolutely terrible. Will be reporting record profits and then will turns and cut employee costs. You a number not a person.

      Field work can take you to cool places, you get trained for new skills, and you can often make overtime if you want it. You can take off whenever you want.

      Cons

      Having to be constantly billable (nature of consulting), rarely interacting with others during remote work, limited opportunities to do biology-related work, limited paid time off.
