Pros

Cessna provides a very family-oriented and friendly work environment. People are committed to working hard, but supervisors do not expect one to sacrifice family life. It is generally a laid-back environment and people have a positive attitude. Benefits are great, including reimbursement for education for ALL employees, bonuses for obtaining pilot training, club aircraft rental at 1/3 the going rate, 401K.

Cons

Due to the specialized knowledge required in the aviation industry, moving up the career ladder can be painfully slow. Healthcare is a bit expensive.

I enjoyed my time at Cessna Aircraft. I started at an entry level position and was able to advance quickly. I received a lot of encouragement from management and felt this would be my last job. Cessna supports the growth of its employees in many different areas. Cessna provided health coaches, incentive programs and tuition assistance all aimed at personal growth for the employee. The economy caused Cessna to close the plant I worked in.

Cons

It is a manufacturing facility. If you are not comfortable in this setting then it might not be a good fit for you. Entry level pay was low in my opinion.
