      My old company was great. Baldwin ruined it.

      Pros

      Great people on the ground floor. There’s generally good things happening on a local office level.

      Cons

      This is the most impulsive company I’ve ever worked for in my life. One minute, there’s some grand announcement about a new tool, process, team… the next, we’re discontinuing it, outsourcing it to a team in another country, etc. It’s exhausting! Baldwin has moments of hope, where we hone in on an idea and everyone buys in and gets on board, only for leadership to do a complete 180 and not care how it affects their employees. It’s all about Wall Street.

      Pros

      •Unlimited PTO •Leadership - Top Notch •Colleagues - Majority are there to help out. Some can be extremely difficult to work with.

      Cons

      •Workload - overloaded. •Employees are leaving this great company because the workload is too much! Everyday I hear from my leader and they’re explaining to me, we are adding a few more accounts to your book of business. We are drowning with too much work and not enough helping hands. It truly feels like we are just trying to keep our heads above water. SOS

      Good place to learn, not to grow

      Pros

      There are many standard operating procedures, lots of structure and timelines etc. this is nice when you are learning the business. Without all of this structure, it would be hard to know what to do when you are new to this career. If you want to get started in the broker side - this is a good option.

      Cons

      Low pay, huge workload for performers. They will call you a “rock star” for your efforts and going over the top to perform but it doesn’t translate to pay. I was way underpaid for years, in hindsight it makes me a little sick.
