Pros

It is a prestigious position, I guess

Cons

Terrible work environment, no professional development for junior staff, several people have health issues as a result of working here. Don't do it!

Pros

It's great name recognition and builds your resume.

Cons

It's all about the CEO and what he wants. Very political and not for the right reasons. Not a good place for women. TBF does not reflect the value of the community in this area. Donors should go someplace else==the rates are lower.

Charitable foundation with a corporate atmosphere

Pros

TBF is filled with highly passionate people who want to make a difference. While many of the lower-level employees have spent most of their careers in the social sector, much of the upper management has come from corporate, so the Foundation has a distinctly corporate feel. Senior staff is accessible.

Cons

There was quite a bit of turnover during my time at TBF, so I did't find the sense of community I expected.
