Pros

Great chance to learn about Boston.

Cons

Found the Foundation to not be an especially inclusive place for people of color, particularly the team I worked on.

Pros

The pay is good at TBF.

Cons

Utterly toxic culture. They just wanted me out and I was so micromanaged and dealt with fabricated failure, when in fact they failed to train, manage and support me properly.

Pros

Great place that's extraordinarily well connected in Boston and in Philanthropy. Great place to work if you're interested in public policy, philanthropy, or the nonprofit sector.

Cons

Mid level and senior people rarely leave so it's tough to move up from the associate level.
