Pros

Getting to see kids successfully leave the program

Cons

- threatened with retaliation if a union was formed. - if you received an injury from a client you were expected to return to work the next day unless at hospital. - hires people with no qualifications to be working with kids or kids with behavioral problems. - puts staff in dangerous situations; if a client or group of clients climb the fence to go AWOL even if it is dark staff are expected to follow until they lose visual of the clients despite police being called and putting staff at risk of attack. - allows clients who have physically assaulted staff to stay on the same unit the staff is hired for and tells the staff to repair the relationship and apologize for causing the client to assault them
