Pros

Buckle teaches business management skills at a level unmatched by any competitor. You will bring a lot of value to any position you hold with a different company after being trained through Buckles methods.

Cons

Any position below store management is compensated far below competitors wages for similar positions. Unless, of course, you are fortunate enough to work in a very high volume store. See "advice to management" section.

Pros

In the right district, and with a ton of drive, a person can do very well within this company. Larger districts present the small fish in a big pond versus big fish in a small pond dilemma. They care about their people, but sometimes you can get lost in the shuffle.

Cons

Work-life balance is almost impossible in retail, at least until you're established, and even then, busy seasons take precedence over life commitments.
