Pros
I loved my managers and most of my coworkers. We all work closely together, so it becomes tight-knit. One of my best friends I met while working there. You learn a lot about how to sell a product, which means you can basically get any retail job you want after you've worked at Buckle for a while. And you get a lot of regulars, so you get to know the customers on more of a personal level, making it easier to sell. Some of them will even bring you presents or food.
Cons
The pay isn't good if the manager over-schedules or during a non-holiday season. Basically during the school year is the busiest. On the slower days, you're basically working for minimum wage. You also have to work at least 2 holidays a year. I worked over 15 hours on Black Friday, with only my one hour break. Also, if you start doing bad or not meeting your sales quotas, the manager will cut your hours. And everyone knows it because your name gets bumped down on the schedule.
