Pros

*Discount. We received 40% on all merchandise. *Company growth. I witness several people relocate or be promoted to other stores. *No managers breathing down your neck. It's commission sales so the pressure is on yourself. *It's just a really cool store to work at.

Cons

*The dress code. Buckle attire head to toe, no sale items, and in season. *Pressure. You're expected to make great sales all day. It's very competitive. *I rarely got to work during the busy periods like weekends. That's where all the money was. Usually the veterans worked that period. *High turnover. You usually don't get a name tag with your name on it until you've been there like a year.

Pros

Great discount. The clothes are awesome! It's run like a boutique, so you get really unique clothes. Music is pretty decent. Extensive training on selling and merchandising. Before I started I had no idea how to sell, but by the end I had learned so much. Competitive sales.

Cons

Intense. Management expects so much from you, when you end up making minimum wage, or close to it. Since you work on commision, your sales affect how much you make. If you only get scheduled during non-busy hours, you don't make bank. Because of the competitive sales nature, you encounter a lot of "sale stealers", so you need to keep a close eye on your customers. Managers are hard to get in contact with, even while they're on the clock. Hard to get a raise.
