Decent Company, but has its issues

Pros

Nice, friendly people Benefits and time off are nice

Cons

Low starting salary compared to everywhere else in the area. DREAM culture is a bit overblown and annoying. Mandatory online training about ethics is almost useless and I feel like it does not benefit any employee. Corporate culture means it takes much longer to get anything done. CBORD in general, but especially development, is made up of many small teams that work under the same roof but DO NOT act as one company/team. Some people are stuck in their old ways and it can be hard to convince them to adopt the industry best standards. Old software with legacy code written decades ago

Not an ideal work place.

Pros

Great people to work with. Occasionally group together with other teams to interact or bounce ideas off of to further improve product knowledge.

Cons

Micromanagement. No care to improve support. Improper training methods to improve knowledge on new products. Self driven CEO that doesn't care the impact internally with people inside. Layoffs of people with a lot of knowledge and years into the company. No sense of care to improve the internal support area to be better technicians to help, but rather throw complex stuff and advise to learn on the go. No sense of structure for how day to day operations should be ran.

Laughably rigged ratings, Danger!

Pros

Niche market that has a long cycle time to respond to lack of support and innovation. expensive to switch vendors so clients locked in for a while. The new CEO is cashing in on that.

Cons

Multiple rounds of deep layoffs (starting in a year of records new sales), in order to prop up the new CEO's ego and cash flow to Roper. Dropping many long term employees intending to replace with cheaper staff in an 'Innovation Center' that never happened because we couldn't find a sucker to take over a gutted engineering team. This led immediately to a toxic environment, outsourcing development due to entire teams being gutted, and inability to rehire competent staff. Company ratings understandably dropped way down to 2.1. Senior leadership says this is all just due to 'sour grapes' and 'resistance to change'. Behold a sudden spike to 3.8! DON'T BE FOOLED, we have been repeatedly aggressively instructed that we need to submit highly positive reviews to Glassdoor, or leave the company...
