Pros

You are provided with 1-2 weeks company paid training depending on the project, you can work overtime if you want to it is not necessary though, you do get a wide range of benefits for full-time that is pretty good for a college student or someone in their first office job. Also, the employees are a very good group to work with. For the most part they are down to Earth, work hard, but know how to have fun.

Cons

The cons for this company would be the performance metrics. The metrics are grounded and fair, but if you have a stroke of bad luck it can hurt your standing with the company as well as your commission check. The starting pay isn't great. However, if you can do well in regards to metrics you are able to make a decent amount in commission. Also, the work is contract based. This means that if the company loses a contract they might have to lay you off if they don't have room on another project. CCS does offer cross project training and they do try to find spots for employees during labor reduction.

Pros

Challenging work, I had a great boss who always had my back and found opportunities to highlight my strengths to others whenever possible. I learned a lot, but I credit that to my immediate manager, not to the company as a whole.

Cons

Pay is not competitive, benefits are mediocre, very little opportunity for upward mobility. The systems were always crashing and very limited in functionality. Lost many good people to higher paying jobs. Culture was kind of a downer...I mean, it IS a collection company, and the cut-throat nature of the industry carried into the day to day.

Pros

Office right off the highway. Easy commute. Huge cafeteria but the food is pricey. If you need a job, they hire anyone with a pulse. Nice office space. Mediocre benefits. It's better than sitting home doing nothing. Decent training, but no management training.

Cons

Shift hours that you are required to work. People always talking about other people behind their backs. Some people don't belong here but get treated well because the know someone. They have a team of people who couldn't "cut it" in collections so they made them the micro-manager cops who silently monitor your calls and write you up for the most ridiculous things so you lose any chance of a bonus and possibly your job. You need to wear a hazmet outfit in order to use the women's bathroom, it is so disgusting. High turnover. Seen a lot of really good, knowledgeable, people let go for no apparent reason. They frown upon you being nice to customers which many of us do not understand. In same cases you will get written up for it.
