Pros
Communication from executive team has greatly improved in the past couple of years due to regular "Town Hall" meetings. Leadership's passion and motivational speeches are exhilarating and make you want to run through a wall to sell the next case. Great online continuous learning tools and tuition reimbursement, if you can find the time to take advantage of them. It's the most recognized brand on the planet! Some people treat you like a rock star for working here. Managers have started to accept the fact that college degrees are only expensive pieces of paper until the employee actually demonstrates their ability to do the job. Generous severance packages for employees who have lost their jobs due to restructuring.
Cons
Changes are made too frequently. New "roadmaps", departments, and job titles every year or two have created mass confusion. Jobs are continuously being cut, centralized, or outsourced. You no longer feel comfortable putting personal things on your desk because you know it will be one more thing to move later on. New salary structure has demoralized many employees. Very long hours on the job are followed-up by regular mandates to participate in activities during time off for the purpose of promoting the brand. There are no written procedures for most functions, including basic daily operations, yet employees are expected to learn almost everything on their own. Sales Teams no longer feel like a "team". High performers are overburdened while poor performers who have negative attitudes and an air of self-entitlement are tolerated. Talent Recruiting process is far too long and biased. Fantastic internal candidates are passed up for unfair reasons far too often due to poorly-veiled Diversity initiative. Annual performance reviews are based on a "calibration" process to determine merit increases, which results in only a few of the best & worst performers in the country being recognized (your top employee may get the same reward as your worst employee and there's nothing you can do about it).
