Account Manager-Small Stores

Pros

The company offers 401k and a pension plan. There are many resources readily available to help you with your sales calls.

Cons

You have to regularly use your personal vehicle to transport signs and racks. Unless you have time to visit the sales center regularly, be prepared to have space at home or in your vehicle to store signage. There are a lot of accounts to complete in a day, not to mention set up the racks and put up displays on a regular basis. Your day never ends at your last stop. Hours are usually long. Do not recommend to single parents.

Pros

Compensation is fair upon initially starting. Make sure you get all the money up front because once you are hired it is extremely difficult to get annual increase over 3%. Fair benefits including pension.

Cons

Career advancement is all but obsolete making it extremely hard to move within the company. That is unless you are one of the lucky to be “tapped on the shoulder” from someone with clout. Lack of necessary learning tools readily available to be productive in any role. Lack of work-life balance due to being obligated to be on call 24/7 via cell phone and laptop event when on vacation and off work. Management is comprised of the “Good Ole’ Boy” era. The company lacks ethics and moral when it comes to protecting those with tenure making the environment one that is cut throat. Lack of accountability when it comes to the leaders of the Market Unit. Lack of diversity within leadership (although they make it appear they are a diverse and inclusive company but that only related to frontline associate) Extremely y low morale, across all departments, which is directly driven by the business not doing as well as they had forecasted.

Pros

You have the Coca-Cola name recognition on your resume for your next job search.

Cons

Long hour Constant budget cuts Negative work environment Poor management constantly giving different direction to employees Vehicle policy is a joke 20cents per mile and 277 a month sounds great but you must have a newer car with top end insurance and you end up paying out of your own pocket every month. Pay is low Customers treat you like crap you end up in the slum carryouts trying to sign shady Arabs to a contract you know they will never fulfill. Way to many bosses not enough workers I have at least 4 people over me They love to pile more stuff on you since there are so many bosses they just come up with more crap for you to do new computer programs you have to master, diplays they want built, stores set to brand flow but you are the one who usually doesn't do the filling. Wasteful spending on pos materials and it never what you need Your efforts are never good enough no matter how successful there's always something that could have been done better. Out of date product is a nightmare products come from the warehouse with less than 45 days to sell and its your fault if it goes outdated I've been written up 3 times for outdated product that wasn't my fault I could keep going but I hope anyone thinking about working for coke reads first. Overall not a good place to work
