In one program in the agency - staff are underpaid and overworked

Pros

Open to hiring individuals with criminal backgrounds and less formal education. Some programs effect more change than others. Commendable mission. Lots of staff who are committed to hard work and helping the community.

Cons

Cannot speak about the entire agency, as I suspect pros and cons vary among the the various programs in this diverse organization. However, for at least one division- extremely low morale among staff and lack of support from management. Ego -driven program "leaders" who are out of touch. No real training. Disorganized HR.

If you are hired by the President of the organization because you are her "friend" then it is probably a great place to work. Everyone else should run as fast as you can away from this organization.

Cons

High turn over rates with senior management Depending on which way the wind blows, you or your colleague may be "laid off" No clearly defined career paths Unlikely to receive a raise Very low employee moral
