Pros

Salary Ability to teach inmates diferent vocational trades or academic abilities that they can use as they transition into society. Alot of the student have not had a positive life experience that has lead up to imprisionment. I have stayed in the prison for so long so I may be abe to make a difference in the lives of others To encourage them to change, and everyone has ability to make positive contributions to their lives and to the loved one they have left behind. I love my job.

Cons

Administration I am not saying it is everyone in administration but all it takes is one cold hearted person to ruin an entire facility. The attitude has a trickling effect. I don't think that anyone should treat their staff bad yelling at them like their a dog. Their isn't any since in that! It is a different world inside and it can change a person, tearing them completley apart. I suggest to anyone that has to work in that environment to be rooted and grounded in the word of God, and you better take Jesus to work with you every day. Working in a prison can be very dangerous, and the staff is watched more than the inmates. You don't have to just wory about the inmates going off on you, you have to worry about the other staff stabbing you in the back.

Pros

Working in the GEO Care division of the company is rewarding as you are helping to change the lives of individuals who have made poor decisions in the past.

Cons

The work-load exceeds a 40 hour work week. Expect to be bogged down with never ending paperwork and a multitude of stressors.
