Decent pay for the area, good benefits

Cons

Extremely poor work life balance, breaks are not guaranteed, safety is not the top priority, inmates healthcare is almost non existent creating a hostile environment with corrections staff. Inmates are treated inhumanely, often. Constantly understaffed. Safety technology is ancient. Forced overtime. Coworkers frequently fired and investigated for misconduct, this is the prison where unprofessional security and corrections thrives.
