Pros

They used to be a good salary company. As years have passed, experience in the field means nothing to them.

Cons

Get agreements in writing for protection. Everything is monitored, micro managed beyond belief. Goals are unrealistic and in most cases not obtainable. Some managers do not have the experience therefore do not provide adequate support on underwriting topics, questions and or referrals.

Pros

The good news is you pretty much know when your job is ending so you can plan ahead. This is a boiler room operation but without sweat equity.

Cons

Unable to provide feedback on management and un-willing to listen. A hug violator of state rates and filings.

Pros

-Good benefits (medical, dental, vision, vacation/sick time off, 401 match) -Technology vastly improved by the time I left -never felt micro-managed -flexible time off for appointments, etc.

Cons

-bonuses/raises were very subjective. If the boss liked you, you got one. -incompetent management with no underwriting experience or knowledge; management that liked to gossip -outsourcing to India contributed to layoffs -no working from home -lack of communication from home office and between departments with vital info that needed to be shared -salary for long-timers vs newly hired college graduates
