Horrible Place

Pros

Some of the people who work there were friendly and the work they bring in is top notch.

Cons

Horrible working conditions. The higher ups expect the world while offering miserable pay. The top creatives behave as if they are chosen by god and everyone is lucky to help enact their vision. They have no problem letting you know you need to work late and on weekends. But feel lucky if your name is even included in the credits while they act like the ones who were behind everything. But the worst part is the toxic, bullying environment. Creatives calling lower workers by "Pet Names" issuing insults and toxic bullying behavior while working you to the bone. Meanwhile you can work on a project where you were integral to creative input, have it win awards, get featured in press only to have head Creatives gaslight you into believing somehow you "Did a bad job". There is an extreme cognitive dissodance between who actually do amazing work there and who think are doing amazing work. Rather than allow individuals who work hard to flourish the Top creatives will instead sort of "Pre Decide" who will succeed and who won't, meaning even if you do a great job, you werent "Chosen" to do great stuff therefore there will be no recognition.

Pros

You get access to great scripts, The Mill name may open doors for you, health insurance was great, the studios in general are well appointed.

Cons

Outdated pipelines and systems, legacy artists unwilling to change and evolve, Technicolor running the place into the ground, no pay raises for staffers running on 5 years, arrogant management doesn't have the fundamentals in place.

Pros

Networking opportunity (maybe)-- position requires you to grovel while taking out the trash

Cons

Abusive, toxic work environment. The runner position replaces facilities with young interns working <40 hrs on a promise of an entry-level position.
