Pros

I think the biggest thing I love about ATG is the fact that I enjoy coming to work, unlike many friends who dread the coming Mondays. ATG works with a work hard play hard mentality, as well as offers the ability to move up in the company. You get multiple reviews in the first and second year, and yearly reviews after that, all which include a raise. The company is big, 200+, and owned by Lowe's, but it still has that small company open door policy where you can pick the CEO's brain, or chat with the CFO, or really any of the top dogs at the company, which is really nice. When I first started here, fresh out of college, I was given the opportunity to work in so many aspects of business. From marketing, to vendor management, to analyzing spreadsheets and numbers, to attending trade shows. You wear a lot of hats and have lots of responsibility right from the beginning, which is really cool. The people in BizDev are the best, so it's like working with 40 of your friends 40 hours a week, which can't be beat. The pay is a bit tough in the beginning, but they work with the mentality that you earn your stripes. Work hard and they'll continue to give you good raises. Where I am now, i'm very happy with my salary, but I definitely had to work hard and earn it to get here. So if you're looking for a rather young atmosphere with a work hard play hard attitude, I give ATG 5 stars.

Cons

The pay is low in the beginning, but like i said, they have multiple raises in the first year, two in the second year, and once a year going forward, so once you get to where you need to be it's a nice pay. Hours are early, 7am, but you do get to leave by 4 which is pretty sweet.

Pros

The atmosphere in the Software Development department is friendly, low pressure and collaborative. This is a good entry level job for new software developers. The pay is low but you get frequent, significant raises during your first year, so if you perform decently you will end up at or around industry standard at some point between your first & second year. It's a great way to gain experience and learn from people who are very open to sharing their knowledge. It's also nicely lacking in "corporate-speak". I don't know if there is a mission statement or company motto, and that is perfect.

Cons

Low starting pay (with decent frequent raises--see "pros" section). 10 days off/year which includes sick days, personal holidays and vacation. Really, really not enough!
