Pros

The Pay is better then many call centers Time can go by very quickly because your so busy You get to help people shop. They do offer special treats such as monthly birthday cupcakes, barbeques and pancake breakfasts.

Cons

Your work schedule changes monthly- hours are 4am to 10 pm on weekdays and 5am to 8pm weekends. You must be available at all times. Your schedule is subject to change monthly- example month 1 your on Mon- Friday from 4am to 12:30 Month 2 you get Tues and Thurs off and you work 1:30 pm to 10pm weekdays and 10 to 6:30 weekends You need to do chats, calls and emails all at once. You can not give your customers your undivided attention You may work holidays such as Easter and Thanksgiving The management turn over is very large, often you can not find a manager when you need one, You also need manager "approval" for the simplest things. If a customer calls yelling for a manager- most likely one will not take the call. The employee turn over is huge. Often you will have a customer calling back because a customer service rep that was working with them did not return a call- That rep most likely either quit or was fired. Customer service needs to go through management to communicate with other branches at ATG such as the fulfillment team. This can take valuable time up which of course is not good when dealing with an escalated customer You need to pass a written test, which can take a couple hours to get a raise

Worst job I've ever had

Pros

It's a job. One of the mangers working there actually seemed to care about the people working under him. Some of the people that work there are nice.

Cons

Departments are pitted against each other. If you make a mistake it is understood that you need to cover your own behind or blame someone else. None of the benefits from the success of the company are passed down to the employees. Be prepared to be treated like a child: office supplies are kept behind lock and key so you better have a good reason for needing a pen and you better not take more than your three allotted breaks per day (two 10 mins and a 30 min lunch which you have to punch out for and your bathroom breaks are included as part of the 10 min breaks). There are cameras everywhere in the office and you are definitely watched, there is no trust shown for employees.

Pros

time goes by quickly in this fast-paced work place; can get in a "zen mode" by learing not to react to upset people

Cons

lack of training and support, treated like you're stupid or like you're a misbehaving child (which leads to avoiding management, which leads to mistakes being made, which leads to being treated like you're stupid), negative work environment, high turnover; pressure to work harder and faster; not knowing how we will be evaluated
