Pros

- Prestige of the biggest environmental non-profit - Ability to learn from 160 marketers - Good travel and work/life benefits

Cons

- All marketers are working separately rather than as a team to accomplish major goals - Cold and unfriendly colleagues in Arlington headquarters, seems nicer in field - Terrible managers - As Tercek often says, "a dying dinosaur" of an organization that can't adapt well or quickly

Poor leaders

Pros

Great compliance system and comprehensive SOPs

Cons

Very poor at human management, even though TNC has a sound human management system, the senior managers do not practice them properly. The leaders would remove you if you make reports/complaints on them, or ask you to leave if you have comments on the people they like. HR is not helpful in resolving conflicts as they will ask you to talk to the managers who you are complaining. HR will NOT follow up the conflicts but they just want to close the file quickly. They have the channels for staff to complain to headquarter (WO office) or via some system anonymously, But those people will not follow up with you especially if you are not from the same region, but they will put you at a very embarrassing situation to solve the conflict yourself.
