Pros

-If you are right out of college and looking to be in a either the Simmons or WNEU grad program its a good place to be. -Good place to work if you're new to the area and young, as you will meet tons of people -Great place to work if your a boy -The kids are great -By far the best pro..the cafeteria at NECC Boston. Great selection of food.

Cons

Where do I start. - People are promoted throughout the company often times based on favoritism, rather than merit. -You either become a NECC robot and listen/do whatever you're told, or you get blacklisted and receive negative feedback frequently, and have zero chance of moving positions. -No one thinks for themselves. Nor are you allowed to. -You WILL get blamed on any injury you incur from a student. -Supervisors can often be extremely unprofessional. Lot's of catty people - Salary, for what is expected of you. -They don't like people that stand up for themselves or go against the grain -So, So many loopholes in the contract to their advantage. (Take the time to read it) - You are in a rotating door, they really couldn't care less if you leave or stay. You are easily replaced -They make you feel guilty for being/calling out sick. -Staff constantly complain about NECC on shift, but are passive and suck it up if they want any chance of being promoted. This leads to a general vibe of negativity and unhappiness - Sadly, they don't care about their employees at all.

We appreciate you taking the time to leave us feedback. We are very concerned to hear how you felt working at NECC. At NECC is the US and Abu Dhabi we strive to create an environment for staff and students that is positive, supportive, and promotes growth. NECC developed our curriculum based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) and 40+ years of experience. ABA is the only proven treatment approach with empirical data and a body of scientific literature to support its success with children. Yes, ABA requires teachers to follow specific methods, but the methods are effective. We want staff to feel empowered to ask questions about the curriculum, to expand their knowledge and experience through our graduate degree programs, and to become leaders in the field of ABA. We'd like to learn more about your experience. If you would like to share specific feedback, please email me at rmcgrath@necc.org. - Rachel McGrath, Director of human Resources
