Pros

They hire a lot of short term workers for campaigns. Give full benefits after a month. Lot of focus on diversity and inclusion.

Cons

Lot of metrics and pushing to meet them but then no positive feedback for stronger team members. Way too many meetings.

Pros

The Outreach Team is legitimately dedicated to promoting social and economic justice. My colleagues are passionate about social justice, and I've always felt respected here as both a part time canvasser and in full-time professional roles. It is rare to find a workplace that has a bail fund for racial justice protestors as well as a policy of unlimited time off (except around election time). Campaign work is often brutal and hierarchical. The Outreach Team is neither of these things, though it does recognize and respect hard work.

Cons

Sometimes the non-hierarchical nature of the firm can lead to confusion over roles and responsibilities, especially in virtual workspaces. But all my team members seem genuinely committed to resolving these occasional hiccups when they arise.

Hi! One of our goals is changing the nature of what canvassing jobs can be, precisely because of the reasons you bring up. Thanks for recognizing that work and being a part of it! (oh, and thanks for leaving a review)
