Pros

I used to be a Recruiter with the Panther Group. Overall, The Panther Group is a staffing agency that is very similar to other agency’s in Boston. There is nothing unique or special about working there. When I first started, Patrick was my manager and was/is a terrific leader. Along side him….Charlotte helped with hands on training as well and was/is also a VERY good leader. If you ever work internally with TPG know that you will have extraordinary training from the best in the Boston area. If you are not performing well one month, they will do their best to coach you and make you the best recruiter you can be.

Cons

There is no such thing as the “perfect company/job” and I will list my “cons” but take them with a grain of salt. Many companies now days are trying to hire millennials but are not willing to add the “perks/benefits” we need and want. Unfortunately, TPG falls into this category. They do not encompass a welcoming atmosphere for internal employees, or offer good vacation packages, work from home options, or even snacks in their kitchen. It’s a very “stiff” environment. Unfortunately, they treat their recruiters like cattle or perhaps robots if I’m being frank. We are expected to produce, produce, produce and call, call call and we HARDLY EVER receive positive reinforcement. Very often, I felt beaten down. I never felt “enough” for this company. My efforts were very seldom recognized and it made me dread going to work towards the end of my time here.

Pros

On-time payments alway and easy on-boarding process.

Cons

The recruiters do not keep in contact with you at all. They brush you off as if you don't exist. The benefits are so expensive, which is not feasible compared to how much they pay you. I was a contractor worker who worked for a large non-profit; however, the agency was taking a large chunk of my salary, which is ridiculous considering they really didn't communicate with me. When I did finally get them on the phone, they were so short and curt (male mostly), that I felt uncomfortable calling.

Pros

Great company to gain experience before seeking greater responsibilities at other companies. Entry level positions that anyone can recruit for without too much of a challenge.

Cons

Internal processes and people with "titles" dominate the ability to perform. Micromanagement to the extreme. Disrespectful managers, account managers, and President. None of this people values their colleagues. Kevin Bernard no longer involved with the company.
