Pros

TherapyNotes was a wonderful place to work early on, as there was a supportive and collaborative work environment, colleagues were generally friendly and willing to help which fostered a sense of teamwork. There are some ways to move around within the company if you position yourself correctly and align yourself near the right people. It is important to note that the negatives outweighed the positives.

Cons

My time at TherapyNotes left me with a sense of disappointment and frustration. One of the major concerns was the lack of competitive pay and benefits in comparison to the current market standards. The compensation package provided by TherapyNotes fell short of meeting industry expectations, which created challenges in terms of financial stability and motivation. One of the major drawbacks I encountered was the ineffective communication from the CEO. Important updates and information were poorly relayed to the staff, leading to confusion and unnecessary anxiety. It became challenging to stay informed and aligned with the company's goals and direction. Moreover, the absence of a well-defined organizational structure was evident during my time at TherapyNotes. Roles and responsibilities were often unclear, leading to inefficiencies and a lack of accountability. The lack of structure impacted overall productivity and hindered collaboration among team members. Lastly, the overall work environment at TherapyNotes lacked the necessary elements to foster a sense of fulfillment and job satisfaction. While every workplace has its own challenges, the combination of uncompetitive compensation, call center like responsibilities, and limited career advancement made it difficult to envision a long-term commitment to the company.

Pros

- A collaborative work environment with flexible work hours - Lovely, polite, and hard-working coworkers - Every supervisor I have had has been extremely helpful, has provided meaningful and useful feedback, and are always available if help is needed - Autonomy to complete tasks on your own schedule - Lots of employee benefits! We never run out of snacks and the company parties are lots of fun.

Cons

- The open-office concept makes it hard to hear on the phone at times
