      I have no idea how this company survived that far

      Pros

      Salaries are OK and you can maintain reasonable work-life balance.

      Cons

      Although TiVo is a relatively small company, it has a management chain, bureaucracy and politics that you would expect to see only in big corporations. Management is afraid to make decisions and as a results meetings end with no outcomes because no one had the guts to take a decision. The week after the same people meet to talk about the same topics again with no decisions. I have spent weeks in meetings and discussions that could have been resolved in hours elsewhere.

      TiVo is a fairly enjoyable place to work, but slow growth.

      Pros

      Good working environment, the people are friendly and cooperative. Good supportive management trying to get processes in place. Lot of intelligent software developers with no attitude and always willing to help and educate. The pay is fair.

      Cons

      There is minimal to no path for career growth and advancement. Like most places these days, too much to do with very little resources. Company upside is limited at the moment. Processes put in place hinder/slow down project advancement.

      Great Product - that's about it!

      Cons

      - Senior Management has a serious lack of vision. Time for a game-changing product guys! - Micromanagers in the sales/marketing group. - No employee development during my three-year tenure - almost no one transferred to other positions internally. - No 401k matching. - Not much work/life balance - No telecommuting within sales/marketing group
