Pros

Not Many. Cool industry

Cons

Poor Management. Old Products. No vision and strategy. Cheap. Mean company. Doesn't value employees - treats them as expendable commodities.

Pros

Decent pay as long as you can stand it.

Cons

Expect constant reorganizations, layoffs and strategic reviews. This company's leadership lacks the interest, self discipline and forethought needed to fix the problems it has created for itself. The senior leadership's management style consists mostly of gossip. When upper management finally makes decisions they are often poorly thought out with little regard to the employees or product itself. Confusion is endemic in this company from the tech stack to general company goals. The high reviews are HR written. If you are looking to see results from your efforts look elsewhere.

Hopeless company, top heavy, wrong direction

Pros

The company treats employees well, overall. Good benefits, reasonable pay, nice office environment, free fruits, social events once in a while.

Cons

* The company has had a few missteps after the merger of Rovi/TiVo. The stock price is down to the ground. Sadly, no executives are held accountable for it. * The company's management team is a big problem. They lead the company to the wrong direction. The company is very top heavy. Too many VPs, directors, etc. There are always more than enough people who are ready to review, but none of the reviewers can roll up sleeves, get hands dirty to deliver any analysis or results for review. Don't see any value add of so many reviewers. Too many reviewers, very few doers. * Because most of the high level people can't do anything tangible, whenever there are new projects coming up, they just hire contractors. This company has so many contractors that the contractor headcount is almost the same as the regular employee headcount. I've never seen this in any other companies. Top heavy and incompetent managers are the root cause of this. * Nobody connects dots. People just work in silos. It is difficult to get cross-functional works done.
