Cons

Low starting pay Benefits package isn't the best, but getting more competitive Management needs more training Many managers were given positions out of necessity, not merit More and more red tape being implemented, but not fully adhered to

Pros

TicketNetwork has a history of hiring bright young people and expecting them to be a part of creating the company's future, which led to years of success and growth. This makes for a fun place to work where people are able to be challenged and push themselves to try new things. Most managers are people who helped create their departments and were hired from the employees rather than recruited externally. People who are motivated to try new things, work long hours, and continually keep learning do well at the company and are regularly recognized with promotions and new responsibility. Recently, the company has been going through a transformation as it matures into an adult corporate citizen from its entrepreneurial youth. This means more experienced management, consistent expectations, and increased accountability. It also has meant some some increases in compensation, incentive plans, and lots of opportunity for advancement. In general this is an exciting time for the company.

Cons

Unfortunately, when you hire young people without much experience and promote from within, you end up with a lot of inexperienced people who have good intentions. So while the walls of TicketNetwork are lined with awesome people, not all are equally motivated. I believe new changes in management and some restructuring will help to bring some accountability to those not really pulling their weight. Right now the company is experiencing "growing pains" as a lot of changes are implemented by management. I believe the changes will ultimately address some of the inconsistencies and wasted efforts on inconsequential work but in the meantime it can be stressful.

Pros

Free lunch, relaxed atmosphere, opportunity to learn the latest technologies and techniques. The CEO is very down-to-earth and is often walking about talking to everyone, taking an interest in what we actually do. Great racial and ethnic diversity.

Cons

Weak management, poorly conceived company values, overly-political. There are cliques who have too much influence despite being populated by individuals who merely want to "get ahead" as opposed to those who are actually making a difference.
