Pros

Fast paced, solid people performing within the sites, pretty good comp & bennies.

Cons

Leadership driven to build up the company to sell it. Long term view is almost nonexistent. Service delivery is underfunded as a result.

Pros

- Good co-workers - Great experience with enterprise IT infrastructure and cloud solutions - Paid time off benefits* (if you can find coverage for your shift)

Cons

My time in the EOC was a mixed bag. To give you some background on me I have always known I wanted to go into the technology and IT field. I love learning and being able find solutions to problems. The EOC has the potential to be the perfect environment for an induvial like me. However many issues stop it from reaching it's potential. For starter's the pay. The EOC starting wage is $17 an hour. That is barely enough to support yourself on your own. Its hard to excel in your professional career when you have to worry about if you will be able to afford your next meal or make rent on time, let alone any medical bills that might come your way. Additionally, leadership or TierPoint does not offer to pay or reimburse for any technical certifications you wish to take to further advance your career as an IT professional. And that is just one of the problem's I have noticed with leadership at TierPoint. Another being is the "Keep your head down and do you work" mentality that most of the time they do not out right say but they do heavily imply. However I was told that statement directly once or twice from an individual in a leadership position. Ultimately it just felt like we were undervalued and just another number on a spreadsheet from a leadership standpoint. Especially once you get closer to the top.
