Pros

-The name of the company in itself carries a great deal of admiration and dignity. -You get the opportunity to share some of the best times of clients lives with them on a daily basis. Leaving lasting impressions and creating timeless bonds. -Although growth opportunities are hard if you do not meet the right Image, you do however get to learn all aspects of the business. This allows you to use these talents to grow elsewhere.

Cons

-Little room for advancement due to lack of open positions. It's also rather difficult to meet the ideal "Image" required to advance. More often then not, its not what or who you know, or even experience, it's "Image." This leads to good looking leadership, with no clue how to lead or motivate a team. -The atmosphere is much like being in high school. Dramatic to say the least. Couple that with the lack of competent leadership, and you have a volatile working environment. -The only department the is recognized or appreciated is sales.

Pros

Employee discount, employee store, reputable company, looks good on your resume if you want to stay in the jewelry industry, decent health benefits and 401k

Cons

Pay is bad, hours are long, no work life balance, favoritism, management had no experience, too much emphasis on competition between employees, horrible commissions, no respect for hard workers, no room for growth, discriminatory

Solid company with good benefits

Pros

Good working enviroment among hourly workers, stressful if you have a quota to meet but high risk, high rewards. Has some opportunity for growth if you are willing to travel. Non sales staff positions only good for entry level, but it looks good on a resume for other luxury jobs.

Cons

Management is bad, too much favoritism. Management makes examples of hourly staff, NEVER setting the example themselves. Regionals need to pay attention to the employee surveys. HR staff is untrustworthy, if you ask them to look into complaints, they will instead go tell that manager what "you" said and you will receive retaliation.
