Pros

- Work life balance (9 to 5 is common in corporate) - Competitive pay (vs. other luxury companies) - Good Benefits (Health Insurance, Gym reimbursement) - Employee Discount (E-Store) - Nice workspaces and good office location in Manhattan

Cons

- Culture (Most employees have worked only at Tiffany their entire career, making the environment very stagnant; Senior and junior people exhibit a high degree of insecurity - they do not want you to learn/know more than they do and are easily threatened by high performers) - Very limited career development (No emphasis on developing skills or crafting a career path, which makes internally grown senior leaders unqualified vs. industry standards; Performance goals are nonexistent or fluff; Senior people appreciate robotic minds and like those who do not question or think out of the box) - Lack of corporate events/trainings (Onboarding is done entirely online; No employee off sites or events that include all levels; No trainings for all levels; No social events within teams like happy hours or team lunches)

Pros

The company discounts were pretty good - although even at a discounted rate - you're still buying from Tiffany's - which can be very expensive.. If you work in an area where it's not micro-managed and genuine, and there are areas like that, you may like working here. There is tuition reimbursement IF it gets approved from management. If the education you are going for is unrelated to your current role or if the school is not "accredited" - you may not qualify.

Cons

Well, it's retail - so from September - December you have no life other than work - especially if you're in a sales role or in related departments. But the worst part about working for Tiffany's was the undermining, corporate bullying, mental cruelty - and cover-up that goes on there. And the fact that this continues to go on and on would be down right appalling for any company - but it's even more surprising coming from this iconic institution.
