Pros

- Good comp which included signing bonus. - Work/life balance was good but my role did not collaborate with Beijing. - Will give it to them. I did see a lot of diversity at least at the Culver City office. - Might get banned by the US government.

Cons

- Recruiting and interview process took six months. - Way too many re-orgs. Literally like every 3 months. And all the re-orgs happened from the top down with no collaboration with middle management. - All decision making power out of Beijing. US leadership has no say into anything.

Worst Place I Have Ever Worked

Pros

A few decent people, but most leave after a few months when they realize how disorganized the company is

Cons

Zero structure. The company is extremely disorganized, and unless you are leadership you have no voice or place in the company. There is also no room for career growth due to lack of mentorship or other opportunities. HR is useless and does not care about the employees at all - avoid this company at all costs you can work somewhere else for the same or better pay with way less stress or issues. This is the most toxic company I have ever worked at and want to warn anyone I can to run as far away as possible.

Beware! Culture and Expectations dramatically worsened

Pros

Great place to meet smart individuals Opportunities to learn quickly, though all platforms and software is proprietary so can hurt you when looking elsewhere Roles are pretty independent in regards to day to day work, which I see as a pro

Cons

Executive team looks out for the company over people, and does not care about how to make the WLB and culture better. Compensation is well below amount of work, and lots of empty promises with Performance Reviews (the cycle is rigged) HR is unethical, constantly covering up for shady happenings and always on the defense of Bytedance
